"It began over two years ago when I was shocked to weigh in at 198 lbs.  Now I have always been an active person;
skiing, surfing, soccer and chasing after three boys from one event to another.  I worked out occasionally, but always found an excuse to stop early or not push myself.  To my dismay, I had  gained over 25 lbs. from my optimum weight plus my cholesterol was a staggering 335.  When I was exerting myself during my workouts I was getting headaches that lasted for two or more days.  That was my wake-up call to contact Kevin at our Gym.  After discussing my goals, eating habits and history of my ethics, Kevin put me on a diet/exercise program that immediately changed my diet and exercise intensity.  I was shocked to realize how out of shape I had become from my own workouts.  With Kevin’s program I was pushed beyond what I thought I could accomplish and slowly developed my cardiovascular and muscle strength.

"Before Kevin and FitCamp, I was out of shape and lacking the motivation and drive to keep a consistent workout and nutritional program in my life. In the past, I have tried to exercise regularly, however, it always ended up as my last
priority. I have also tried many of the popular diets out there (Atkins, Weight Watchers, not eating...haha). Although I always lost the weight initially, I somehow always gained some of it back. In April 2004, I found myself almost 50-60lbs overweight! Just newly engaged and set to get married by mid October, I  thought..."this is it! I have to get my act together!". I joined Kevin for personal training sessions in mid April 2004, and then transitioned to their Fitcamp in July 2004. I must say that this has been an amazing experience!! "I met Kevin in the early part of summer 2003 after doing a lot of web-research for a trainer.  Kevin's site popped up first on my searches, I was a bit reluctant at first at the "non-gym" aspect of his training but decided to take him up on his "free first session" -- I left the workout a sweaty puddle of excitement.


No longer would I need to drag myself to the gym for another mundane workout -- most of time I would never actually go to the gym -- rather, the customized workouts that Kevin provided for me to gain speed and strength for triathlon racing worked well.  Before meeting Kevin, my first race of the season I placed in the middle of the pack and felt dejected -- I then worked with Kevin and by the last race of the season I almost cracked the Top 10, I got 11th!


In addition to this new-found strength and speed, 15 pounds in 3 months has come off of me and I have a solid base from which to build on for next season. More strength, less body weight, faster legs all adds up to a better race as well as more confidence and the end of the "maybe next time" attitude.

"For anyone who's wondering, can there be a physical fitness program that garners results as astounding as the popular T.V. show, “The Biggest Loser,” there is an answer.  It is San Diego FitCamp.  When planning to lose weight for our upcoming wedding and honeymoon, my fiancé, Jen and I turned to Kevin.  The work out is properly titled “Boot Camp.”  Not only is this program getting us in shape for our honeymoon in Tahiti, but I am also preparing for the daunted fire academy in San Diego County.


Utilizing resistance bands, medicine balls, and abdominal mats, the “Boot Camp,” by Kevin is the perfect workout plan for those on the go.  For myself and most people I know, my time is limited making a workout difficult to accomplish late in a day.  San Diego FitCamp for Jen and I takes place bright and early at 6:00 a.m. & this workout time frees up our entire day, and allows us to enjoy a post class Starbucks run to reward our workout.


In addition to the great time we all have, I have went from 21% body fat to 12% in just a few months and Jen has lost 4% body fat.  We are both feeling great and could not have done this without his help."
